Terachuhouse – Ceramics Between Harmony and Chaos Hidden in the Tramuntana Mountains of Mallorca, far removed from the hustle and bustle and the pursuit of perfection, Inga Wilkens creates her unique ceramics. Under the name Terachuhouse, she forms objects that consciously celebrate imperfection – raw, organic, and full of character. Her works exist between sculpture and functional object, characterized by irregular edges, intuitive forms, and a deep connection to the material. Inga works exclusively with the hand-building technique, without a potter’s wheel. This slow, almost meditative approach allows her to let each form grow organically, rather than mechanically perfecting it. The result is pieces that possess their own unpredictable dynamic – with uneven edges, deliberately placed twists, or subtle irregularities that lend the objects vibrancy and character.

She draws her inspiration not only from her surroundings, but above all from the unseen aspects of everyday life. It’s the little things – the way light falls on a surface, a random combination of colors in nature, or the unique texture of a material. For her, colors and forms are like a language that she constantly reinterprets. Art movements such as Impressionism, as well as observations from books, traditional craft techniques, and life itself, also influence her work. Many collectors and art lovers appreciate her pieces and recognize a special depth in them that transcends mere functionality.

Soon, her work will also be available for purchase in a select design showroom in Alaró – an opportunity to discover her ceramics outside of her studio in Mallorca. Unlike traditional ceramic labels, Terachuhouse doesn’t sell through an online shop, but rather via Instagram (@terachuhouse), where interested parties can discover her latest creations and connect directly with Inga. This personal exchange is important to her – each piece should intentionally find its way to someone who appreciates its unique qualities.

Owning a piece from Terachuhouse means holding something genuine in your hands – a unique item that carries not only form but also history. Learn more about Terachuhouse and Inga Wilkens on Instagram: @terachuhouse or @ingawilkens
